Creation of a new business model.

Description

Project aimed at the creation of a new business model, which span from selling an energy supply to selling a service with related Web-App.
The service includes the assessment of the profitability of energy investments, in order to identify building and energy upgrades.
This model is based on innovative metrics that take into account the indications expressed by internal staff, in order to increase comfort in the building through the development of evaluation algorithms integrated with a dedicated web application.
The latter allows the provider to sell the service and the end user to understand the impact of the service on the building. The service is also useful for facility managers who want to optimise people’s comfort while keeping energy consumption under control.

Why is it important?

The demonstrator created during the project could be applied to other buildings, becoming a fundamental part of the overall building and energy redevelopment work, realising a modernisation capable of attracting the establishment of new businesses and production activities. In this sense, this research would provide the basis for the study of innovative models in the field of sustainability, where energy acquires primary importance and is configured as a fundamental driver around which the social and economic development of the territory is triggered.
