Description

The prototype developed in the project consists of a digital platform, which provides a specialised environment for managing the sustainability cycle in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) area.
The result of the project is the improvement of business performance through a new management paradigm, consisting in an integrated governance system (Risk & Sustainability).
The platform created is able to combine innovation, digitalisation and sustainability strategies in a synergic way, guaranteeing a structured and systemic approach. It makes it possible to manage the phases of the sustainability cycle by implementing a complete integration, both of objectives with the subsequent phases of risk/opportunity analysis and management and of innovation processes with the planning and control cycle. Thanks to these tools, the company is able to analyse environmental, social and financial impacts.

Result to be enhanced

The relevance of the project lies in the following conceptual and structural elements:

• Ensure an eco-systemic approach, in order to guarantee practical support, even in presence of complex analyses and assessments, both in the strategic and operational fields;
• Use a proactive and predictive approach in risk/opportunity management;
• Allow high scalability and graduality in the adoption of the system, with a methodological and operational approach to the “sustainability” area;
• Allow interoperability and integration of data with other solutions already present in the company;
• Adopt analysis techniques that allow the classification of a huge amount of data, through the use of tools and techniques (Big Data and Business Intelligence);
• Facilitate the creation of professional and transparent reports for the reporting and dissemination of sustainability.

Why is it important?

The ‘Tex4Life’ project has enabled the realisation of a de facto standard for the digital management of sustainability at company level, to be used in diverse contexts, oriented towards companies/entities operating across all product sectors (and in particular in the SME segment).
