HD/SW to support proximity digital services

 

Description

The RAP service was born from the need to develop and prototype a new HW and SW product on which to design and deliver Augmented Reality applications for INDUSTRY4.0. RA is an enabling technology for I4.0, born outside the factory and until now developed on CLOUD architectures with many limitations, starting with the latency of digital content with respect to reality. The new product aims to overcome these limitations, operating on board machine with direct access via digital HMIs, to provide intelligent support functions for operators and maintainers of manufacturing assets. The aim was to develop on the ORCHESTRA existing architecture a SMART System to integrate dynamic machine data with static data from the machine manufacturer and thus obtain ready-to-use information immediately available to the attendant or maintainer in close proximity.

Result to be enhanced

This service enabled the realisation of the electronics necessary for the prototyping of a smart system capable of supporting augmented reality and artificial intelligence functions for new on-board digital services to be integrated into the company’s digitisation offering. This product also laid the foundations for the transition from a model based on the Industry 4.0 paradigm to one based on the new 5.0 paradigm.
