GREEN CHEMISTRY AND ADVANCED MATERIALS

The CGreen Cluster – Green Chemistry and Advanced Materials  is an organization that supports competitive growth in enterprises and their economic environment, facilitating technology transfer, creating networking opportunities to develop new activities and cooperation among different businesses and stakeholders. The Cluster is managed by three organizations:

  • IBIS Consortium – Innovative BIo-based and Sustainable products and processes – NOVARA.
    T
    he Innovation Cluster of Sustainable Chemistry aims at networking the skills and experiences of the most innovative chemical companies in the area. It contributes to innovate chemistry and make it more compatible with the environment
  • Proplast Consortium of Alessandria
    It is a technology centre focused on research and innovation in the plastic world, by integrating the industrial and academic competencies, approaches and needs thanks to its advanced labs and training activities
  • Science and Technology Park in Valle Scrivia – Tortona (P.S.T. S.p.A.)
    It is a science park promoted by Regione Piemonte to facilitate the spread of innovation and the exchange of know-how between research and enterprise in the East-southern Piedmont economy

ROLE WITHIN SISTEMA POLI

CGREEN, as a partner of the Innovation Clusters Regional Network in Piedmont, is focused on:

  1. fostering circularity and sustainability in some existing chains and facilitating the development of new ones with reduced environment impact;
  2. strengthening cooperation and networking among enterprises and organizations, developing new ideas and projects;
  3. supporting resilience in the local areas and their economy, through eco-innovation and using green technologies in order to acquire more competitiveness at extra-regional level.

CGREEN deals with different technologies, exploited in many economic sectors in Piedmont. For this very reason it promotes cross-sector collaboration and partnerships, mainly in the field of digital transition as well as health and wellness of people and communities.
