Invisible to eye
Nanomaterials that change and improve surfaces.
Description
Siloxanes are nanomaterials that change and improve surfaces.
A thin film, invisible to the eye.A few nanometres are enough (<100 nm).
The surface becomes super-hydrophobic, with a contact angle of over 100° (117° to 120°).
Excellent abrasion resistance.Facilitates cleaning of the surface where it is applied.
Compatible with food contact.Excellent resistance to chemicals.
Temperature resistance: 350°.
Because of all these characteristics, and thanks to the collaboration with a Finnish start-up, the project has reached production, and therefore sales on the market.
We are applying this nanomaterial on top-of-the-range stainless steel sinks with the leading European manufacturer in the sector. The application is done with an anthropomorphic robot, before plasma activation; everything takes place in an air-conditioned cabin, with strict temperature and humidity control.
Result to be enhanced

Why is it important?
Questo prodotto è stato applicato per la prima volta in Italia. Dalle prove iniziali fino all’immissione sul mercato. Il prodotto è privo di PFAS.
