SISTEMA POLI EVOLUTION

An ecosystem that grows to deliver greater value to businesses, stakeholders, and the region.

The Sistema Poli Innovazione Piemonte is undergoing a significant phase of evolution: a pathway that strengthens its competencies, enhances its infrastructure, and consolidates its positioning in alignment with European standards.

This evolution goes beyond internal organization and translates into tangible benefits for companies: more qualified services, greater collaboration opportunities, increased reliability in innovation projects, and stronger competitiveness in the marketplace.

This section brings together the initiatives that are making the Innovation Clusters even more solid, recognizable, and attractive partners.

HOW THIS EVOLUTION CREATES VALUE FOR BUSINESSES

The activities launched within the framework of Sistema Poli Evolution strengthen the Clusters’ ability to act as reliable and competitive partners.
For businesses, this means access to more structured organizations aligned with European standards, capable of activating qualified networks and providing more effective support in innovation projects.
The enhancement of infrastructure, together with improved processes and organizational models, expands opportunities for testing, research, and prototyping, while making participation in national and European calls and collaborations more accessible.
The evolution of the Clusters also strengthens the growth conditions of the companies that work with them.

AREAS OF EVOLUTION

Below are the main areas of evolution which, taken together, are making the Sistema Poli stronger, more credible, and more competitive.

  • EUROPEAN STANDARDS AND ESCA CERTIFICATION

All the Innovation Poles in Piedmont and their respective Managing Entities are undertaking a structured pathway to obtain certification issued by European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA). This process enables the Poles to operate according to internationally recognized criteria, strengthening their credibility with businesses, institutions, and European partners.

Alignment with ESCA standards also makes internal processes more transparent and structured, improves coordination across activities, and enhances the overall effectiveness of the services delivered. For companies, this translates into an immediate advantage: being able to rely on more qualified partners capable of supporting complex projects and unlocking broader national and European collaboration opportunities.

  • ENHANCEMENT OF INNOVATION INFRASTRUCTURES

Alongside the certification pathway, the Poles are investing in the development and implementation of their technological infrastructures: more advanced laboratories, state-of-the-art equipment, and dedicated spaces for research, testing, and prototyping.

This enhancement significantly expands opportunities for companies, which can access tools and expertise that are often difficult to develop internally, carry out testing activities under more reliable conditions, and accelerate their R&D projects. The evolution of facilities and services also enables stronger integration among the different Poles, fostering a more efficient ecosystem capable of supporting the technological growth of the region.
