Description

Wedoo, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is launching Italian excellence in the US with the first metaverse activity created by a public administration.
The immersive and interactive environment is an essential part of LoveIT Detroit, an initiative of the Italian Consulate in Michigan for Detroit Month of Design in September 2022.
At 1001 Woodward Avenue, a ‘real’ and iconic location in the city centre, Wedoo elaborated and developed a digital environment, a digital twin of the event with immersive and interactive experiences created on the Unreal Engine platform, the same as in video games such as Fortnite. A technology that enables the recreation of environments and objects animated in real-time, to offer the user a rich, immersive and accessible experience with just the use of their browser, thanks to pixel streaming.

To promote using the metaverse as an alternative to the real experience, to enjoy cultural content that would otherwise not be accessible due to distance or opportunity.
To emphasise how technological innovation can be a tool for promoting Italy and the Italian public administration abroad.
