FLOWer
FLOWer is a transcatheter device designed to protect cerebrovascular, renal, and peripheral vessels from emboli released during TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implatation) procedures.

Characteristics
The FLOWer™ System is a temporary transcatheter-based filter designed for full embolic protection during intracardiac procedures. It features an innovative quick deployment and retrieval mechanism, a full body embolic protection thanks to its design, best in class filter porosity of 60 µm. FLOWer is optimized to allow a safe and effective TAVI procedure.
Result to be enhanced
FLOWer is an innovative embolic protection device developed for interventional cardiology. Its introduction enables physicians to perform procedures in a more protected setting, placing patient safety at the core of treatment.
The device is designed to provide comprehensive protection, both at the cerebral level and for peripheral organs, helping to reduce the risk of embolic complications during intervention.
In the near future, FLOWer may expand its use beyond TAVI procedures, becoming a solution applicable across a broad range of cardiovascular interventions where embolic protection is essential, such as left atrial appendage closure (LAA).
Why is it important?
Embolic events remain one of the key concerns in TAVI procedures, as they may lead to significant neurological or systemic complications, sometimes even without immediate clinical symptoms. For this reason, enhancing procedural safety is today a fundamental priority to improve patient outcomes and reduce overall procedural risk.
FLOWer addresses this need by introducing a dedicated embolic protection solution, helping to create a safer and more controlled interventional environment. Its ability to protect both cerebral circulation and peripheral organs represents an important step toward a more comprehensive approach to patient protection during the procedure.
Looking ahead, devices such as FLOWer support the continued evolution of TAVI toward higher safety standards, offering greater confidence for both physicians and patients.
